Help make your waxing less painful?  I

If you answer yes to any or all of the above, then Propil treatments and homecare are for you.

Propil Expert Salon Treatment and the Propil Expert Homecare Cream work on all natural forms of hair growth.

The Salon Treatment

A highly concentrated serum is applied to areas which have been waxed, followed by the Propil Expert Cream.  This is done by your therapist in the salon.

Containing 10% active hair growth inhibitors, the Propil Expert Serum reduces hair thickness and slows down the hair re-growth by diminishing the hair germ cells.  These are the celles responsible for creating the hair.

Over a period of 8-16 months, areas treated with Propil Expert may become completely free of hair.  The time period is dependent on your own hair type and growth speed.  The thicker and darker it is, the longer it may take to rid an area of hair.  These results are achieved progressively.

Each Propil Expert Serum will treat either your full leg (both) or half leg (both and bikini and underarm.

£9.00 per treatment plus cost of waxing

The Propil Expert Homecare Cream

This intensive product is highly concentrated in "anti re-growth" active ingredients to help keep your skin soft, hair-free and beautiful for longer.

Capsilow combined with Pilinib decreases the hair growth and density of the hair, while Sepicalm and plant oils soothe, protect and soften the skin which is sensitised by hair removal.

How Propil works

When the hair is in the primary stage of hair growth (anagen), it has a blood supply and is attached to the base of the follicle. It is at anagen that you can successfully treat the hair with Propil.

When you remove the hair (with wax, threading, plucking), you leave the growing elements of the hair exposed (hair germ cells). When the Propil Serum is applied, it attacks the hair germ cell.

From here the follicle must reproduce the growing elements before it can produce a new hair. This will slow down the rate of regrowth. As this action is repeated, the follicle will eventually give up reproducing the growing elements and then the follicle will be hair free.

This said, there are two further stages of hair growth – telogen and catogen – Propil will not be successful when the hair is in these stages as the hair detaches from the base of the follicle and migrates to the surface and eventually drops out. Therefore you have a 1 in 3 chance of each hair being effectively treated with Propil (in anagen stage).
